It's with deepest regret and with heavy hearts we announce the passing of one of our beloved members Tom Link.  Tom was a member of Smock Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years and held office as Chaplin and Secretary.  His expressed interest to help people was not to fight fire or perform rescues, but to work behind the scenes to help the department grow.  Tom has clearly shown that you do not have to be an active firefighter, rescue tech, or EMS provider to volunteer with a fire department and serve your community. Tom, we thank you for your service.  You have brought joy and happiness to the department and community during the good times and also when times were rough.  You taught us to never give up and always have hope.  As you answer the call from God and walk at his side, we ask you to continue to watch over us as you did during your time on Earth.  We will miss you and you will never be forgotten!
